Let him know that people make poor choices, and his mom made a poor choice- his dad too. Just assure him he has done nothing wrong, and that young people sometimes make mistakes that effect there and others around them lives in a negative way. But ask him to forgive her and try to help put it behind them the both the best he can. So they can get on with the rest of there lives.
