I have like a 3.5mile run tomorrow... Any advice you can give so I can run my very best?

What to eat tonight, what to eat before the race, what to drink before the race etc etc.. How to breathe, what to wear and blah.I have like a 3.5mile run tomorrow... Any advice you can give so I can run my very best?
Eat a healthy dinner,Get a good nights rest, Eat something that is small but healthy before the run. Make sure its not something too big or you have cramps or stomach ache during the run. Good Luck!I have like a 3.5mile run tomorrow... Any advice you can give so I can run my very best?
Tonight eat pasta/carbs and fruits/veggies..it will help give you energy but wont sit in your stomach too long.

Before the race, maybe 2 hours before the race eat a bagel or eat a breakfast/power bar.

Drink LOTS of water 1 hour before the race...wanna stay hydrated.

wear clothes that are light but warm (i don't know if you live somewhere cold) maybe nike running shorts, good running shoes, and long sleeve under-armour shirt?

CONTROL YOUR BREATHING. that is the biggest thing. I don't know how much you've been running. But the most important thing i've learned from my years of Cross Country and track is that you need to control your breathing. Do not let yourself ';gasp for air';. Make sure you breath with ease.

Be positive and Have fun. Racing is great- hope you have a good one :)
Go to sleep early. After all 5 km is not that long.
Spaghetti is the best to eat the night before a long run.

During the run, breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. it helps get oxygen to your body and you will do much better. It is hard the first mile and a half but after that it helps you go faster.

Drink a lot of water, as long as you don't drink it one hour before the run starts.

Eat protein. Bananas, nuts, and bagels are really good to eat before the run.

YOU DONT WANT TO STARVE YOURSELF THE DAY OF THE RUN.

wear running clothes. usually short shorts from nike, asics, adidas, etc. get a not to tight but not too loose running shirt from nike, asics, adidas, etc. If you need shoes, get fitted for them at a running store. It may cost a little more but its worth it. dont wear hats. wear ankle socks. if its cold wear a thin running jacket from nike, asics, adidas, etc or underarmour.

go to sleep early and get a good night sleep

Hope this helps :)
