all the advice my mom ever gave me was terrible and ended up making me depressed and suicidal
She never gave me any good advice. Generally she told me about how she would go up to random guys when she was younger and say 'your place or mine?' She also told me she hated having safe sex and if I wanted to try marijuana I could smoke some at home. I took advice from other people's mums.
Don't listen to your dad. Boy, was I happy I didn't.

cuz once me and my buds were walking and my buds were waiting for the walking light to go on and it didn't go on for like, 2 mins so we got pissed. i was around...let's see...i was around 14 back then and there were like, two 14 yr olds and 1 13 yr old. then maria (1 of my buds-the 13 yr old) went like 'let's just run across' and i'm like 'no way. my mom told me not to' and she's like 'whatever' and she began to run. so then this HUGE truck came and kinda ran her over. like, the driver stopped, but not really in time, and maria got hit and unconcious. she also twisted her ankle and broke her arm. it was freaky. but she's alive now. i'm 18 and i STILL listen to my mom when she says 'look out for cars!' that was about 4 yrs ago and i STILL remember maria's cry and the snapping of her bones. that taught everyone i was with a pretty good lesson.
