Need legal advice. How do you file a lien in Ontario for a unpaid court judgement.?

There is an outstanding court judgment in my favor that remains unpaid. The defendant (and the debtor) is a coporation that is most likely defunct. How do you go about filing a lien or otherwise collecting the money against the corporation or, since I know the person behind the corporation can you file a lien against the person? Other than the persons name and the corporations name, I have no other details such as financial info.

Thanks in advanced.Need legal advice. How do you file a lien in Ontario for a unpaid court judgement.?
It depends on how it was incorporated, but in most cases you cannot get anything from the corporation's owner(s) if the corporation is defunct. That is why people incorporate, so they can shield their own assets from the company's liabilities.

If you have no details, it will be very difficult. You will have to hire a PI to get details for you, and then attempt to collect from them yourself. If they refuse, you will need to contact the sheriff's department for assistance.
