I'm not a dramatic person and am usually thought of as a chill person who most people think, that I'm a psychotic serial killer. When the only thing I look for is to please my dad- I fail him in certain aspects and it seems that the only advice he gives me is to shape up and realize my faults, in a more complex phrase. I'm 17- Would like some insight on the matter.
Thanks-Why do parents give advice only about the things you fail them at?
Parents have a tendency to worry about their children. Your father is just trying to tell you to be a better person and not to throw your life away.
The sooner you find out your mistakes, the sooner you can make decisions to avoid those mistakes. Why do parents give advice only about the things you fail them at?
It is good practice for when you get into the workforce. It is not likely you will get many compliments from your boss and I can assure you that you will hear it when you screw up. It is possible that your dad is in work mode.
