Problems with a friend could you please give advice?

I have a friend whos pregnant, who is feling down and demanding my attention as shes on her own, I went shooping with my mother today and caused world war 3 and we fell out as she says i never spend time with her and i'm selfish etc. Am I in the wrong? What should I do?Problems with a friend could you please give advice?
Your not wrong or selfish, but you have to understand. She's pregnant, emotional, and just needs someone to be around, especially since she's alone. You just have to let her know you'll there for her, but you have your own life. It may be annoying, but she's your friend. So you guys should like plan a day each week or every two weeks to just spend together ( Ex. just talking about life, having a lunch, picking out baby names).Problems with a friend could you please give advice?
I think she is being selfish and self centered. Not acting like a really good friend either. I'd tell her how you feel if I were you. And tell her she may be loosing a good friend and will be if she doesn't stop her unacceptable behavior. I don't think you are in the wrong at all, she is.
she is being self-ish and self-centered.

Tell her that at times you are busy and your sorry if your not there.

Tell her that sometimes u need summ time for yourself 2

and tell her you love and care 4 her and you'll b there 4 her whenever you can

Good Luck!!

xoxox
say 'i cant always be with you.'
Her hormones are just acting up. but you have to do something.

You have to tell her the truth. She's using you in place where the father would be. Tell her you are a good friend to her but You have to tell her if she continues to do this you won't be over that often. If it happens again set ground rules. If it happens after that you have to let go until the eighth month if she will let you back in.

But sometimes a good heart to heart is all a pregnant girl needs. Good luck.
shes probably just feeling very alone and wants some one there to help, which is understandable...however you need to explain to her that you also have a life and need to get things done and you cant always be with her. shes asking to much. your only one person after all...she needs to know that.

Question for the World: How do you control your ';snooze reflex'; in the morning? Tips and Advice, please =D?

I am absolutely certain I am not the only one. I have an obsessive compulsive snooze habit ( this is not a serious issue to all you critics out there) but we've all hit the snooze button once too many times before.........snooze.......snooze.....s鈥?sh!t I gotta get to the office!!!!!!!!Question for the World: How do you control your ';snooze reflex'; in the morning? Tips and Advice, please =D?
best way is to put your alarm where you have to physically get up.

but sometimes it doesnt work 4 me. ive been known to get up, turn my alarm off, and got back to sleep and not even know it hahhaaQuestion for the World: How do you control your ';snooze reflex'; in the morning? Tips and Advice, please =D?
My friend actually referred me to this sweet little alarm clock that will def get your a$$ outta bed. Check out the link. This clock jumps off your nightstand at the time you set it and makes random turns around your bedroom while blaring chirps whistles and beeps. You have to chase it down to turn it off. This thing is CLUTCH
First of all, I would ask if you're getting restful sleep. If not, see a doctor. Have a sleep study done. Worked wonders for my husband. We found out he had sleep apnea and was only sleeping a fraction of the time the clock indicated.

He also snored heavily. That's a good indicator of whether or not you have sleep apnea. Unless you have a partner, it's hard to tell if we're snoring or not. I wanted to smother my husband because of his constant loud snoring...LOL!

She never gave me any good advice. Generally she told me about how she would go up to random guys when she was younger and say 'your place or mine?' She also told me she hated having safe sex and if I wanted to try marijuana I could smoke some at home. I took advice from other people's mums.

I want a six pack Please help if you can give good advice?

Can you help get tips on how to get a six pack im not fat but i don't have a pack people say that if your not fat you have a six pac but i don't so can you help me with thatI want a six pack Please help if you can give good advice?
Drink lots of water-your muscles need water

run like hell-you may not be fat, but if you cant see your six pack, its because they're covered with some fat.

try this military exercise-lie flat on your back, hands under your buttocks, palms toward the floor. raise both feet six inches off of the floor. keeping them straight, swing both legs up and down as if you are walking (when one is up, the other should be down) another version of this is opening and closing your legs instead of swinging them. first one's better, though

try building other muscles too. the more muscle there is in your body, the faster your body burns calories. focus on your thigh muscles, they're the biggest muscle group in your body.

make sure you eat a good amount of protein and carbohydrates within a half hour of your workout. (20-30 grams each)

dont let anyone tell you not to eat carbs. if your body doesn't have enough carbs, it'll start burning muscle for fuel. you don't want that

also, watch what kind of carbs you're eating. the best carbs are from vegetables and whole wheat bread. avoid white bread and sugar.

stop jacking off. it makes you lose a lot of testosterone, which is necessary for building muscle

never eat within two hours of sleep, or else the food will not be burned, and it will be stored as fat-guess where?-on your midsection

hope this helps =)

Hey all guys please help!?Its important and I need you advice.?

I really like this guy.But i don't think he likes me.I mean i would say not to be concited but im pretty and im sweet.its my bday party next week and hes coming and at the party how can i get him to fall for me?Any good tips guys? What kinda clothes look rly hot to guys and what about good party tips so the guy will like the party? And any tips on how to get this guy to like me?Hey all guys please help!?Its important and I need you advice.?
i dont know your age but im assuming young.

First dont be loud and annoying

Talk to him, find out things he likes, offer to hang out

Find out what colors he likes/is attracted towards. Believe me, some girls can wear one color and get nothing, wear another and get tons of guys. I think it tends to be the color blue....

you have to look like a woman, you have to stand out more than the other fish in the pond, guys dont see 'inner beauty' right off the bat, they see body.

be flirty and a lil mysterious, but dont be flirty around other guys when he is around, that is a no noHey all guys please help!?Its important and I need you advice.?
The way you are describing is not the right way to get a guy to like you. First of all, do not wear clothes to impress him. This is not being yourself you should dress for yourself and not him, otherwise he can see that you are trying way too hard. Secondly, some guys can be shy, if he show any signs such as; he blushes, looks towards the ground, has a hard time making conversation, then he probably likes you, too. But, if he doesn't present any ';hints';, then the relationship was just not meant to be. I wish you look in your relationships and I hope this helped.
Just be yourself. Be confident; look him in the eye when you talk and listen. Don't worry about what looks ';hot'; to guys. Sometimes what most girls say is ';cute'; to guys isn't cute, but looks slutty. Be modest but fashionable-- nothing too tight. Respect the fact that guys are turned on by what they see, which means you could attract the wrong attention if you aren't careful.

Sometimes getting a guy to like you isn't about what you can do or not do, it's about chemistry. I had plenty of my guy friends liking me, but I never knew until much later because they were too shy. It's usually best to start out as friends, but every so often doing little things to show you care. Being genuine tends to be a lost cause because society pushes sex far too much. Many forget that it's the butterflies that feel better than what you ';do'; with someone physically.

By the way, your sun signs have nothing to do with it. It's just a fun myth people think makes a difference. YOU create your own luck.
You've got to show this person how awesome you are, but first you need to know how awesome you are. Build up your self confidence. this doesn't mean you have to be loud, boisterous, arrogant, chatty, or forward. It just means getting to a place where you're comfortable in your own skin.

In order for him to notice you Introduce yourself somehow and make conversation. Take an interest in who he is what he likes, where he's coming from, where he wants to go and show him who you are.

These things take time. You can't force someone to like you, and trying to hurry things up can ruin the courtship altogether. Give him some space and don't be obsessive.

And don't worry about what you are wearing, wear normal cloths, make him like you for who you are, not what you look like. Good Luck!
dont try to change anything about yourself to get this dude to like you. be yourself. you dont want him to like you for who you aren't anyway. also dont dress hot... thats gonna make him like you in the way wrong way. dress how you normally would. just pay attention to him alot. get into as many one on one conversations as you can. be physical, not sexually, but like a lot of hugs and grab his hand and stuff. see, this is how you would attract me. oh and at the end of the party, make sure your goodbye hug is long. haha. have fun
    Hey,

There was an instance that this girl I work with had a thing for me.

She wore a dress out in public with her friends (co-workers) and they met up with me at the bar we all said we were going to.

I didn't think she got all dressy just for me. But apparently she did, and all that was going through my head was ... [what the hell?]. I glanced at her quite a few times but ended up leaving later because it ended up being her, me, and 5 other guys who I really didn't care for (sausage-fests suck).

I do like her personality and she is a beauty, but I didn't want a relationship yet.

So in all honesty, dressing up for a guy, in my view, doesn't really work. Your best bet is to just talk to him and flirt a bit. Be open. If he asks you out somewhere alone, then you're 'dating'. But if he doesn't show enough interest, then I'm sorry - he's not into you.

At least you can hold a friendship for him as long as you keep your emotions in check as 'friends' and not potential lovers.
You don't have to do anything to make him fall for you. It's a kind of ';not good'; for you because you are a girl. Boys are the one who make the first move, not the girls. So, just wait. If you are really pretty, there's a good chance that your crush will somewhat like you and ending courting you up.

    Happy Birthday in advance.
if you just want to hit then just come onto him and its done, but if you like like him then yea come on to him so he knows u like him but not to hard, and clothes wise i like them skinny jeans with some high boots, and a (idk whats it called but its like a shirt with a dress? thingy goes about to the knees) dress shirt..y? but yea just talk to him, and hope it works gl
Just be yourself,no gimmick, no artificial behavior. tricks do not work for winning somebody's heart. The love is natural and spontaneous stream. If he finds the same wave length he will approach you by himself, if it does not he may be just a friend like others. The feelings should be mutual and two-way not one sided or not by playing any trick.
find out what he likes.his favourite color and all , then go for it.try to be extremely decent ,graceful and hot at the same time.its not necessary to wow each and every person present over there but its important to make him feel wow about you.
It depends what kind of a guy he is.. I am a guy and i like when girls are honest just like all guys, so i think you should just tell him about what you fell like.. and then you could tell if he likes you or not...

hope i helped you nd good luck
Look, look first of all I am a guy and I know that we boys don't know if you like us or not. I mean what if he has a boyfriend or has Aids or something. You don't want to bumed out finding something that prevents you from liking him...
you're a scorpio, you got this. trust me. give him the innocent look and the bedroom eyes, guys love it.
Oh Lord....you can't make someone fall for you. Be yourself and he likes you or doesn't. Don't change yourself for anyone like that...it's a sign of weakness.
If he likes you he will, tricking hm to like you by wearing something you normally wouldnt wear will never work.
Go up and have a dance and touch him heaps and junk.

People may say go and talk to him and junk, but touching him provocatively will be more effective.
Tight clothes so he can see your figure.

Smile at him a lot. That always works.
Bacon soap. Men love that kinda effort!
    Just relax, and be yourself.
    like him back

Many advice I got in my life. And many were good and interesting. Although I could not follow all of them. One was good and I try to follow is something like 'Perform your salah regularly or you will go insane''.

Seeking advice on dating someone who has constant obsessions about you?

I'm dating someone who is always having thoughts about me that are so painful. I am not perfect in any way, but he has a way of finding all of my imperfections and dwelling on them to the point where he can't move forward with me. We've been dating for about 7 years now and I am ready to move forward but he is waiting to ';not feel as bad about the thoughts'; he has about me. What should I do?Seeking advice on dating someone who has constant obsessions about you?
That sounds like an unhealthy relationship. I don't think a person can be happy with someone that focuses on their faults. His thoughts are obviously not going away (7 years). Find someone that is not naive and recognizes your faults, but focuses on your strengths. Find someone that can accept you for who you are, and love you for it.Seeking advice on dating someone who has constant obsessions about you?
It's time to move on. That's bordering on or even is emotional abuse. A partner should make you feel good about yourself. not point out imperfections. You are saying that he can't move forward because of your imperfections and and him to not feel so bad about his thoughts of you? That's a very unhealthy relationship. You deserve much better than that. I'm a dating coach, if you have more questions or need advice, contact me. Good luck!

One of the best ways and easiest ways to lose fat is to reduce your calorie intake. Very simple substitutions can make a lot of difference. Here are some simple examples:

English Muffin instead of a Bagel. Calorie Intake Reduced: 40

6” sub instead of 2 slices of Pizza. Calorie Intake Reduced: 160

Water for soda. Calorie Intake Reduced: 150

    Baked over Fried Chicken: 80

If this was your daily meal, you just saved 330 calories. There are 3500 calories in 1 pound of fat.

Tip 1: Limit High Carbohydrate Foods- To maximize the fat-burning process, it's best to gradually eliminate carbohydrates toward the end of the day. This minimizes your chances of storing fat late at night.

Tip 2: Motivate Yourself- Try to find an incentive for getting in shape and burning fat.

Tip 3: Low-Calorie Food Alternatives- Try to save as many calories as you can. Substitute water for soda, baked chicken for fried chicken, sub sandwiches for pizza, etc.

Tip 4: Don’t starve Yourself- Starving only promotes a bigger ';rebound'; effect because your body likes to hold on from what it is deprived of. Instead, fuel the body every 2 to 3 hours with small meals.

Tip 5: Drink 1 or More Glasses of Water Before Meals- This is to help fill the stomach and give you a full feeling.

Tip 6: Don't Give up- Nothing will work if you don’t give it a try

How would you tell your parents if im pregnant, advice and help appreciated?

Please help, i dont want them to be madHow would you tell your parents if im pregnant, advice and help appreciated?
Well I'm 16 and i'm pregnant and got pregnant once before by my boyfriend, but i lost my first. Since my boyfriend is cool with my mom i told him to tell her. She was upset, my grandmother found out and it was the same reaction with her. Your parents are going to be upset because they didn't expect you out of all the girls in the area would be the one to be knocked up. They want you to do better than themselves, they almost always have high expectations for you. Its best to just tell it to them straight only if you plan on keeping it. If you plan on having an abortion just find a way to get your insurance and all that stuff and bring a close friend for support. How would you tell your parents if im pregnant, advice and help appreciated?
Explain the entire situation to them, what you're thinking of doing, and tell them how you now know to be more responsible. [If it's an unplanned pregnancy, that is]
    ';mom. dad. i'm stupid. i didn't use protection and had sex with a boy who will probably leave me in 3 weeks. i'm pregnant. i have failed as a teenager.';

say that. just as it is.
You should say that you can make choices and its not fair and things like that, but all in all, you will get in trouble eventually.
hey dad guess what i did *tells him* high five! woo good job son!
    just do it
First, be sure if you are pregnant. That is when you tell them.

Tell your mom first, since she is a woman like you, and was pregnant at least once before. If she tells your dad, I'll be surprised.
go up to them and tell them that you made a huge mistake but that you'd really appreciate their support. just come right out and say it, because the longer you wait the harder it will be. good luck!
    tell your mom first*...

    moms are better about it...

but i just want you to know she may still be mad...

then after you talk to her, take her and go talk to your dad...

*the best way to tell her is be like,'; mom i made a huge mistake. and i'm pregnant.'; you are probably gonna cry and she'll feel bad and take it easier
I suggest that you sit them down and talk to them, and if they don't understand than request counseling. They will be quite upset, but you shouldn't think anything of it. My mother would be surprised if I told her that I'm pregnant. I'm not though. Good luck, hope I helped.
Well, maybe sitting them down and explaining everything would help. Tell them you appreciate everything they do for u every single day. Not to be rude but let them know it wasnt their fault but maybe it was just yours. I dont know if this was unplanned. i mean the ';doing'; part. This is your responsibility and you would appreciate it if they just went along with what your deciding to do. Good luck!!
Calmly tell them the truth, it beats lieing and holding it back. Trust me it'll only make things worse. Just tell them it was an accident and you never meant to. Parents don't stay mad at their kids forever
They are going to be disappointed, but whether or not they manifest that disappointment as anger remains to be seen. Just tell them. You need their help.

    It may help disarm them if you wait for a good time and then say very humbly, ';Mom, dad. I've made a mistake and I need your help. I'm pregnant and I'm scared.';

Put that way it may help them reach the protective place in themselves about their baby girl that they will eventually come to in most cases.
They are going to be upset. It is only natural, but the longer you wait to tell them, the more upset they will be. It is important that you get taken care of, so they have to know. I had to tell my mom. I was 15. I just blurted it out. Our relationship was rocky for a bit, but it got better. What you are going through is hard, but it will be harder alone.
no matter how you say it.,.,... they will still be pissed
i just told my parents u were pregnant and they said they dont care cuz they dont know u.
They are going to be mad... Just tell them you need to have an important talk with them and tell it like it is... It's going to be tough, but I bet they'll stand by your side once the initial shock wears off. They're your parents who love you more than anything and they'll help you get through this
well why did you go and do that in the first place? you need to have them know that YOU realize your stupid mistake and that you would neevr think of doing it again. otherwise, why should they forgive. im not trying to be rude but from their perspective, why would they forgive you if u dont reassure them it's something you will never do again and regret and wouldn't have have done it if you could do it over.

oh, and please. i beg you. don't murder your baby.
you will just have to tell them asap, otherwise mother nature will let them know , its not the first time this has happened, you will survive, unless they kill you
No matter how you say it, they are going to be disappointed. Just try to be calm and mature and have a talk with them about it. Don't be nervous

    answer mine plz:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Just tell them. There is no way around this and the longer you wait, the harder it will be for you to tell them.
Oh, trust me, if you are under 18 they are going to get mad no matter how you tell them. Just sit them down and tell them. Be totally honest and expect for them to be upset and mad for at least a week. They will probably come around after thinking about it for awhile.
They are going to react the same, no matter how you tell them. The earlier you tell them, the better it is.

    Just flat out tell them, and depending on your age, add in ';I know I made a mistake, but now I'm taking responsibility for it.';

It'll take them time to get used to it, so don't think that just because they are made for 2 or 3 days after you tell them, that they won't be supportive in the long run.
Why should I tell my parents if you're pregnant?

If you're pregnant then you have bigger problems than your parents not taking the news well. Just tell them as soon as possible so they and you can deal with it.
I would tell them in a public place, like McDonald's, so there wont be obsessive yelling or even hitting. I would also tell them that you have a plan to work out the situation, then explain the plan. If you don't have a plan to deal with pregnancy in the first place, then your screwed already.
I think just sit down and tell them you need help and advice because you've done something you maybe shouldn't have
um not sure if your a guy or girl, just tell them like say..

(girl) Dad, im sorta well Pregnant! OMG im so sorry! (start criing)

Boy) um dad i sorta had it with this girl... (dads comes up to you) ';HELL YA!'; thants my boy';!!JK

    HUGS

    AMY
Start out with Mom And Dad Im going to mess up your life Yes It was worth the 7 minutes Who???
say mom dad, I held up a computer mouse on my stomach and it said I was pregnant. Yes I answered your other question, and dont go telling your parents your pregnant because you did an online pregnancy test
say youll commit suicide if they get mad LOL just plain out tell emm

Would you take relationship advice from someone who confessed to cheating?

if someone confessed to being a cheater they say they no longer cheat (once a cheater always a cheater)would you take relationship advice from themWould you take relationship advice from someone who confessed to cheating?
If you only took advice from perfect people, you wouldn't be able to get advice from anyone. Sometimes the best teachers are the ones who have learned in the school of hard knocks. If I'm asking advice from someone who has done something I'm considering, and he shakes his head gravely, and says, ';Man, I'd never do that again!'; I would tend to take him very seriously.Would you take relationship advice from someone who confessed to cheating?
Just because I person doesn't take their own advice, doesn't mean that they give bad advice all around. They're not telling you to run around and cheat are they? Sometimes people who are bad in their own relationships give the best advice because they KNOW what not to do first hand.
Sure. He may have learned a hard lesson.

But I wouldn't start a relationship with a confessed cheater.
I'd take advice on how to spot a cheater, but that's about it. A cheater has no idea what a real, loving relationship is..... if they did, they wouldn't cheat.
    hey so what

no because they are no good at relationships that why they cheat they cant satisfy one person so they run around to different people the main reason is because they are insecure about themselves
';once a cheater, always a cheater'; isn't true for everyone.

    and yes i would.
if the advice comes with love yes, I would take it.

once a cheater always a cheater? this is too american for me, no offence.
Possibly, they might know what NOT to do in a relationship, and we can all learn from others mistakes.
Yes, they'd probably be the best people to turn to because they can tell you what NOT to do from their experience
that phrase is not always true.

and yeah i would take advice from them if i knew them

Any advice for owners of dogs with lymphoma? What do you do if you want to travel? Leave them or take them?

My border collie was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. The vet said that she has a few months. In a few weeks we want to travel to go see family during thanksgiving. We would bring her with us if not for the fact that my aunt has a cat. We are thinking of just leaving her with a woman who has kept her in the past. She is a certified vet tech, but we are still nervous about leaving her on her own.Any advice for owners of dogs with lymphoma? What do you do if you want to travel? Leave them or take them?

Leave them or take them?
First of all I want to say that I'm sorry about your dog. I lost my dog to lymphoma last year. It was very hard on us. We got some good advice from the vets at the U of MN. Don't take your dog with you because traveling can be stressful, especially for a sick dog. And if you leave your dog at home with someone else she will get very stressed because you're not there and you don't want to stress out an already sick dog. Make her last months as comfortable as possible. Also if she passed away while you were on vacation you may never forgive yourself for not being there for her in her last hours. Make every day count. Spend every possible moment with her. She needs her family to be there for her in this difficult time. This will be her last Thanksgiving and you can always see your family next year. I say you should stay home with her. Good luck.
gee with only a few months left to live I'd be taking the dog everywhere with me.

Live your life the way you want it.

You wanna party all the time, do it.

You wanna study and be smart and be successful. Then do that, and don't let anyone drag you away from that.

If you could give advice to a young kid right now going off to college what would it be?
Try not to stress out. Don't get too caught up in partying and forget about your studies which are most important. Money will be taught so come up with a budget and try your best to stick to it. Mostly, good luck.

What advice can you give me, when it comes to relationships?

Go with the flow, be yourself, don't worry about invisible problems but don't be too FREE if you know what i mean, be cautious with some guys and go with your instinct, it's there for a reason, if you think a guy is sleazy than he is...don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

this is a hard question, without knowing what genres you are into. if you like classics, you should look into master and the margarita by bulgakov, because it is an amazingly written satire filled with humor and political undertones. or you may be into picture of dorian grey, with a dark undertone that is a little sinister but irresistible to read. My favorite book recently has been the china garden by liz berry, which is a modern fantasy story, beautifully written.
Otori Tales by Lian Hearn is a great series of books. I highly recommend it.

The first is book is Across the Nightingale Floor, then Grass for His Pillow, Brilliance of the Moon, and Harsh Cry of the Heron. Then a prequel the series was recently released Heavens Net is Wide.
Catch 22 is a top book. Funny too.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov is certainly about a touchy subject but so well written... it's utterly wonderful. It's full of puns and word play and the prose is so good it almost reads itself.

It's hard to know what to suggest when I don't know what like to read.
I recommend The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
    Orwell's 1984 is really good its a political sci-fi.

Do you have a hard time taking advice from people younger than you?

.Do you have a hard time taking advice from people younger than you?
in general, people who are older dont want to hear advice from younger people lol. that's the one perk of getting older - people think you are wiser lol. you lose looks and the fun of being younger but they have ';seniority'; in life lol. i'm 28 btw.

i consider myself to be a very open minded person and i would definitely listen to the insight of someone younger. however whether the person is younger or older you always have to be careful who you dispense ';advice'; to. a lot of people get their pride easily hurt when they feel like someone is at all acting like a know-it-all or telling them what to do, no matter what their age.Do you have a hard time taking advice from people younger than you?
That's a great question, and yes I do. I feel like I should already know these things, so it really isn't personal against the younger person. It's just a pride thing. Sometimes though, they do have some good advice, and I do take it and carry it with me. So thanks to all the young uns out there.
Yes. I don't try to be that way. Its just natural for me not take advice from people younger than me. We are raised being told that the older you are the wiser you are so often we don't accept advice from people younger than us. I usually only take advice from elders.
sometimes.it depends on the individual. if i know that they have gone through the same thing and whatnot i tend to gie them more credit than the people who just talk to hear their own voices and to feel superior
Father Time is younger than me,but I have no problem with it,long as they are respectful and not rude.
    I don't need advice.
no not if they know something i don't and have expereinced something i have not.
No. Just as long as their advice is actually good and helpful, I don't care.
What advice could they give me? They have no life experience whatsoever. I'll never take advice from a youngin.
young people don't give me advice....
Nope, age has nothing to do with insight.

  • Don't you love when Democrats offer advice to the Republican party about how we should be more moderate?

The last time we chose a moderate candidate (John McCain) we lost big time. And last time I checked Ronald Reagan was about as conservative of a President that we ever had and he won landslide victories in 1980 and 1984.

So thanks, but no thanks for the advice.Don't you love when Democrats offer advice to the Republican party about how we should be more moderate?
WE should be more moderate? WHAT ABOUT THEM? They are so far left they are LOONEY! That is why they are losing at the polls now.Don't you love when Democrats offer advice to the Republican party about how we should be more moderate?
Because if you would be more SOCIALLY moderate and stop kow-towing to the extreme self-righteous ';let's teach creationism in schools'; evangelicals, a lot more ';Democrats'; would vote for you. I for one have no problem with fiscal conservatism, but will never vote for the extreme right-wing social agenda that has come to characterize your party.

I liked McCain in 2000 and probably would have voted for him, and might have voted for him in 08. But what did you do? Nominate an extreme socially-conservative crazy evangelical VP who was frankly an insult to women everywhere. So thanks but no thanks.
when Regan got elected conservatism was a rather new ideal...plus don't forget Ronnie was a Hollywood boy who was also in charge of unions during his rise...not only that he was a big spender and a lousy saver...McCain got beat because Bush was just that horrible...i don't think by him being a moderate is what ruined him...it was the tarnished Republican name is what ruined him....as for the Dems...they are right...most of this country is not homo-phobic as it once was...yah prop.8 was defeated in CA but that was ultra-liberal bill...now the country much more accepting towards minorities in high positions..some thing conservatives are still wary of (the Sarah Palin fringe of the party)..then you got issues like medical marijuana...which many conservatives support...but then the bible belt bunch is totally against that...and finally on the fiscal side the American people who are still pro-capitalism are very anti-corporatism...and the right supports corporatism even when they are unethical, immoral, and even criminal (health care execs, for profit prisons, banker bonuses amid crises etc) ...if the right wing would just unify and wake up to a few issues but still implement their conservatives values of self-reliance and hard work...they would start winning again...
Reagan's presidency was a long time ago. Politics and the country have changed since then.

Also, it is the leaders of the Republican Party that want it to get more moderate. Leaders like Newt Gingrich. I as a liberal would prefer that the Republican Party go more ultra conservative. You will lose every election if you do.
This pretty much describes our Country today.

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't`t buy one.

If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't`t eat meat.

If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.

A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.

If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.

Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.

A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.

Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.

A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets u p, laughs and is embarrassed.

If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.
Regan was a Fiscal Conservative. He butchered the taxes and government spending. All he cared about was minimizing the government.

He ended in a high debt due to the war. All war debts result in high debt. To criticize him on that is naive. Bill Clinton himself did the exact things as Ronald Regan and cut capital gains tax as well as other taxes.
Mccain lost the election because he was a faux liberal running against the genuine article.

    I think this:

Conservatism has never failed the Republican party, but the Republican party has often failed conservatism.

As far as taking advice from liberals is concerned, doing that is exactly what got us where we are. I have no interest in what the enemy advises that I should do.
The Republicans would have lost regardless of who they ran. 2008 was just the wrong year to be a Republican. The Republicans should be more moderate to attract more swing voters. Choosing a candidate that has the least appeal to all the voters is not a move calculated to win elections.
Oh, those charitable liberals. Where would we be without their care and consideration? It's almost farcical listening to someone like Valarie Jarret explain how the Republican Party is being co-opted by the 'far right-wing extremist.'

Of course she says this without hesitation while George Soros is stalking the halls of the White House
Since Republicans are fast on their way to becoming the Tea Bag Party

I am thinking its not likely there CAN be a change of direction.

But moderate ? No, go ahead on. See how much support you will get over time as the Beck, Palin, Limbuagh-ers move the GOP even farther to the right.

The big tent has collapsed and the loonies are running the party now.

    RIP
Damn ! Lightning struck a pine tree in Texas. After 13 months, me I agree with lawgirl. Just goes to show ya, anything IS possible.

Well, almost anything. Try slamming a revolving door.

For all those touting ';moderates';, can anyone name just one great moderate, or one great moderate accomplishment ?
    I disagree, run Palin! Please, please, please run Palin. Run her in 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028. . .

Of course, I'd like a democrat in office all of those years so maybe my advice isn't what you should be following.
I am so glad you guys won't take the advice. Moderate McCain did not lose you the election. Conservative Palin and acting like an extreme right wing nut McCain is what lost the election for you.
In their eyes the Republicans like Dede Scozaffava are '' moderate '' but they are LIBERAL
Your right Reagan was a conservative, he even lowered tariff protections back when Wal-Mart had their made in the USA slogan that started our industrial might being given to China. Thanks Republican Reagan.
I never gave such advice,,,,,and I doubt any other Dem's here did give such advice,,,Republicans went for the BLACK minority to gain needed votes....do you have a better idea for 2012?
Dems are scared that the GOP may return to its Christian roots.

They know it'd mean landslide victories in 2010 and 2012.
Conservatives need to take back the GOP from all these ';moderates'; and RINOS

Out with all these liberals in sheeps clothing!
Reagan was the first president to explode the deficit...how was that conservative?
Dems are only happy when everyone thinks, speaks, talks, and agrees with their viewpoitns.
Did you ever think maybe dems suggest that to you because they want you to lose.
moderate? you mean instead of killing 100 innocent iraqis you kill 50?
Wasn't Pol Pot considered a moderate Liberal until the Killing Fields?
    good

    nominate Palin

the country could use another laugh
Reagan was a corporate whore and murderer...that's how I will always remember him.

Hi everyone, what advice do you give someone who just found out their boyfriend/ girlfriend is cheating?

I met a girl a few weeks ago and she recently found out her BF is cheating on her... she lives with him and they were dating before.. when they got back together her mom told her if she mves back in with him she cant move back home... she's only 21 and i have no idea what to say to her!

    can you help...

    Thanks

Ironhide24Hi everyone, what advice do you give someone who just found out their boyfriend/ girlfriend is cheating?
Well it sounds like she is fianacially dependent on him. I.E. he pays half the rent or something. Well she needs to find a way out. Look for people that need roommates to help pay rent. Any friends that would help her out. Just get prepared to leave and detach from him in every way possible.Hi everyone, what advice do you give someone who just found out their boyfriend/ girlfriend is cheating?
She needs to talk to her mother, because this is really the fly in the ointment. Of course she needs to break off with someone who is cheating on her but that will probably render her homeless. Get her to explain to her mother what's happened and ask whether she can return home, even temporarily. I find it hard to believe that a mother would not be sympathetic under the circumstances
tell her to get outta there, and (if housing is a problem for her and you would be able to do it) invite her to stay with you till she can get her own place.
I would tell her to leave him immediately. Once a cheater, usually always a cheater.
Ask her to leave him and show ur interest in her... Broken heart is always in search of a friend and something more than a friend..
If it's a woman then I usually tell Her to have revenge sex, with the first person they see.
    This calls for Street Justice!
just tell her. the sooner the better
    dont cry.leave him.blow him away
oooh, he's probably a bad influence on her. tell her not to...
sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind....be straight and just tell...she will thank you in the end..goodluck..
she should kick his *** to the kirb!
where there isa will there is a way. she shouldn't stay

What's the best advice you've ever gotten about relationships?

Love is trust, and trust is love. You can't have one without the other. Everything else follows if you have that. Likewise, everything falls apart if you don't. It sounds so simple, but it affects everything. Communication, faithfulness, commitment; everything.

If you have the time, can you help me with my question? I really need a woman's point of view on it.

Listen to tom lykisWhat's the best advice you've ever gotten about relationships?
Communication is key, you have to talk to your partner about everything and that will build trust. And when you talk the little things that could possibly end your relatoionship come out and get addressed before they blow out of proportion
To love unconditionally and get to know them before you judge. When someone is always in your head, maybe there meant to be there. You only live once, so live it up and go for it. Thats the best advice I've been given. :)

don't eat yellow snow and do not pick your nose at the dinner tableFor anyone who has had';younger'; friends what's the best advice you or they have ever gave?
I was talking to a co-worker who was getting married to a beautiful girl. All he could talk about was her beauty and money. I told him to think what would happen if she had a freak accident and had to be in a wheel chair the rest of her life, would he still be there loving her. He called off the wedding and told me that he was marrying for the wrong reasons.

How do you feel about EUSING REGISTRY CLEANER? some people say to use it and some say no! what advice can you?

give me? will it hurt my pc?How do you feel about EUSING REGISTRY CLEANER? some people say to use it and some say no! what advice can you?
If I were you I would use CCleaner to clean up my registry. It's free and does a fantastic job. If you're paranoid it will also make a back up for you...How do you feel about EUSING REGISTRY CLEANER? some people say to use it and some say no! what advice can you?
I have used it with great success on about 100 machines with not one problem.

I have heard of people that don't like it but when I ask what problems they have had they are very non-specific with their answers. Or they have heard that someone else had a problem so they won't use it.
Rule Number 1: NEVER TOUCH THE REGISTRY IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS OR HOW IT EFFECTS WINDOWS.

    Now,

I don't recommend using Registry Cleaner. However what I do use is called CCleaner (Crap Cleaner). It decrapifies your PC safely without any need to worry about screwing up something. It also allows you to clean the registry. I have never had any problems with the registry cleaner on it, but it is recommended that you backup the registry when it prompts you (just in case :).

One tip with CCleaner. Just use the basic settings. Don't change anything along the lines of 'Advanced'.

    Get it here:

    http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloading
CCleaner with its default settings is safe, and free.

    www.ccleaner.com

But really, any 'Registry Cleaner' that merely removes entries that point to missing files is safe.

We have three credit accounts that we would like to pay off, do you have any advice?

We have 3 credit accounts, two are cards that are a little under their limit and the third account is for my wedding set that is almost completely paid off. Should we make small payments to all three until they are completely paid off or Pay them off one by one? We have three credit accounts that we would like to pay off, do you have any advice?
I would continue to make small payments whichever you can afford to do be that 50,75,100 dollars at a time.

I would also remind you that the more you pay the less you will have to worry about in the end and it does effect your next big purchase, like a house, car or insurance of any kind my friend.

Take Care Good Luck Be well and prosperous! We have three credit accounts that we would like to pay off, do you have any advice?
I, myself paid a smaller amount to 2 bills %26amp; paid alot on 1,until that was done; it sure feels good to

be closer to debt free! one bill at a time! good luck!

Pay off the highest interest rate first.
Well, you have to keep making payments to all of them so that you don't accrue late fees. What you should do is pay the minimum balance (more if you can) on the card with the lowest interest and try to pay as much each month on the card with the highest interest.

    Good Luck!
Make payments to all three but put more towards the ones with a higher interest rate..Once you pay off one then take that money and put it towards the one with the largest interest rate too.You lose more money in interest rates than you need to if you pay equal amounts to all three.
make sure that you pay the minimum payment on each account. Any money left over should be allotted to either the account that you can pay off in a short length of time or if all 3 accounts are about equal the 1 that has the highest interest rate. After 1 account is paid off, make sure you pay the minimum amount on both accounts and take the money you were paying on the 3rd account and allot it to the 1 that can be paid off sooner. Then when the 2nd account is paid off, take the money that you were paying on all 3 accounts and allot it to that account. That is how you get off of debt, which is a very good feeling
As everyone else said, highest rate first. One important tip I can give you is to LEAVE THE ACCOUNT OPEN FOR AT LEAST 90 DAYS after reaching a zero balance. Closing an account before that shows up the same on your credit report as if the card had been canceled for you.
Yes. Or if you can get a part time job, earn extra money from a garage sale or something to pay off faster.
Pay off all three, trying to pay down a bit more than the minimums on each, unless one has a higher interest rate then focus on getting rid of that one first.

There are credit counsellors that will arrange to freeze the interest and consolidate the debt into one monthly payment, so that could work too.
one by one starting with the highest interest card
Pay off whichever one you can completely pay for first. It's best to get them out of the way. If you have a higher interest on one of your cards and can pay that off completely, do that one. The longer you take to pay them off, the more you will pay in interest. So pay the wedding stuff off and take the rest of the money and pay down one of the other cards. More accounts mean more interest paid out. Less in your pocket.

    Good luck!
One by one. If you paid that third one off you can pay more on on of the other two. Choose one of the two remaining accounts and pay what you were paying on the ring account and what you were paying on the second one already to get that paid off faster. After that second ones paid off apply what you were paying on the third and second account along with what you were already paying on the first account. (hope you understood that). All in all you will not be spending any more money than what you're used to but you will be paying off your debt much much faster. In the end if you focus pay then you will pay less money for your credit because you will not have been paying interest for as long.

p.s. Then close all but one account and only use it for emergencies. Take out cash to buy stuff and you'll realize how much you're really spending on stuff you don't need and you'll spend less.
Pay the minimum on the lowest interest cards and the rest of the money you have available for payments on the card with the highest interest rate until that one is paid off, then move to the next card with the money above minimum.
Pay off the one with the highest interest rate first. Make minimums on the others. I would throw as much as possible a month at it.
    1. Stop using the cards :)

    2. Keep paying at least the minimum on all.

    3. Pay off the lowest amount first, then move on to the next lowest amount.

If you are interested in more info on becoming debt free, check out Dave Ramsey - he's an expert and a really great teacher.

pay off the one with the least balance, that way it's out of the way and you'll feel like you accomplished something. Then start working on the card with the highest rate. Keep at least the minimum going on all of them... preferably more.
Pay the most to the highest interest credit card..more than the minimum if you can.

Why do parents give advice only about the things you fail them at?

I'm not a dramatic person and am usually thought of as a chill person who most people think, that I'm a psychotic serial killer. When the only thing I look for is to please my dad- I fail him in certain aspects and it seems that the only advice he gives me is to shape up and realize my faults, in a more complex phrase. I'm 17- Would like some insight on the matter.

Thanks-Why do parents give advice only about the things you fail them at?
Parents have a tendency to worry about their children. Your father is just trying to tell you to be a better person and not to throw your life away.

The sooner you find out your mistakes, the sooner you can make decisions to avoid those mistakes. Why do parents give advice only about the things you fail them at?
It is good practice for when you get into the workforce. It is not likely you will get many compliments from your boss and I can assure you that you will hear it when you screw up. It is possible that your dad is in work mode.

Under so much pressure? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I am 22 years old. I will have a Master Degree in May. On the other hand, I have very little experience in the program of study. I have been applying for various jobs on my field. I have been rejected by a few employers because of the less experiences and real knowledge about job.

I am sad and discourage after getting reject again and again.

Sorry English is my second language.

Please advice. Thank youUnder so much pressure? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Rejection is tough for anyone. Have confidence and believe in what you can offer an employer.Under so much pressure? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
I think if I were you I would see if someone would let me job shadow them for awhile so that I could learn all of the ins and outs of the job. That way they could get a free employee for awhile and you could gain some valuable experience in your chosen field. There are some places that offer on the job training and even if you have to take a lower salary for awhile it may still be worth it. The only thing worse than your problem is being told that you are over qualified. It is equally frustrating. Good Luck!
What the hell do you expect anyone to say but to keep at it, otherwise you wont get anywhere. If this is what you want to do then you cant get discouraged by that crap, you have to use it to drive you furthur.
Just keep applying for similar jobs, eventually something that your meant to do will come your way.

    Good Luck!

Don't get caught up in 21 century materialism.

    Save money.

Don't think that marriage and children will make you happier, studies show they don't.

    Read a book once month.

Don't get married to a girl who wants to be a stay at home mom.

    Don't smoke.

Clean up after yourself, do your own laundry, no woman EVER wants to be a housemaid

    Keep your credit good.

If you do get married, get detailed pre-nup agreement showing settlements after divorce so everything is fair.

    Don't drink and drive.

Teach your kids a second a language with English when they are born and teach them to read just as early.
    shave
You should be saving for your future by contributing money to a Roth IRA and/or 401k... These 2 savings plans plays on the stock market with your money with very reputable and money making companies... Starting in your 20s with aggressive stocks is an outstanding start to building for your future... When you retire, you will have a retirement account near $1,000,000 which you can withdraw at your pre-set retirement age and that money will be your salary over the next 20 years of retirement... For example, let's say you were contributing 10% of your salary (recommended) and you ended with $1,000,000... You turn 62 years old and become eligible to retire... You can quit your job and withdraw the million bucks to deposit into your banking account... You will be taxed so you'll walk away with around $800,000... Let's say you planned on living until around 85... Since you retired at 62, you're assuming you'll be alive (and need money) for 23 years... so divide $800,000 by 23, and that will be your yearly salary... This adds up to $34,700 a year... That's not even that much right?... But imagine if you DON'T have a retirement account?... This should be a priority...

There are lots of minute differences between Roth and 401k but the biggest one is that a 401k is money you put in from your paycheck before it gets taxed... So this means if you make $100,000 and you're contributing 10% a year($10,000), you will only be taxed for having made $90,000 that year... But when you withdraw your 401k you'll be taxed then... A Roth IRA is money you put in after you've been taxed so you will not be taxed when you pull money out of a Roth IRA...

If you're not in college, you need to go... Don't get suckered into trade schools like ITT tech and Art Institute, they're a waste of money and don't even compare to a 2 year community college degree in the real world... Figure out what you want to do, go to school for it, and seek employment that offers a 401k...

stay out of jail... even going to jail for a DUI will appear on your records when applying for credit, a home, a job...

do not destroy your credit... stay away from credit cards right now... stay out of debt.... they rape you on the finance charges and late fees and take advantage of you when you are at your weakest... learn to live without the wants in life and you'll enjoy your adulthood much more, especially when you're depositing paycheck after paycheck and not having to pay down debt...

Try the butt. What advice would you give me about overcoming sexual pressure?

I am a guy and I went through most of high school being pressured that I haven't had sex yet, but I just stuck to my guns and told everyone, yeah I'm a virgin and I don't care, and they respected me for it. I am married and have two kids now to me high school sweetheart and I am happy. Just stick to what you believe and tell people. Don't let anyone else run your life, for the reason that you won't be you. You'll be them.
Block out what any1 does, and do not listen to them. That way you know when your ready, and are not influenced by other's remarks or actions.
do it.....or don't if you don't want to simple
only do it if you want it or you'll feel remorse after. yes, sex is a big deal. don't let peer pressure **** your life over.
Look to God, that's where I'm looking and it's working.
the advise i can give you is do what ur heart tells you to dont think about others. and you know when you are in aposition like me thinking your pregnant youll see it wasnt worth it. if you do promise me you will use protection all the different type you can its always good to be 100 percent sure
I think the best thing to do is think it through

and not only wait till your ready

but also think about who its gonna be with

and is it worth it and the consequenses

also dont go by what other people think

i know this sounds kinda gay and korny but go with what your heart feels

You just simply tell them no, you're not ready.

I know that it might sound hard to do and you dont want to lose your Bf or whoever it is, but if you aren't ready then you aren't ready! And it's your choice for when you want to start having sex

Yes. Or if you can get a part time job, earn extra money from a garage sale or something to pay off faster.

Take out cash to buy stuff and you'll realize how much you're really spending on stuff you don't need and you'll spend less.
one by one starting with the highest interest card
pay off the one with the least balance, that way it's out of the way and you'll feel like you accomplished something. Then start working on the card with the highest rate. Keep at least the minimum going on all of them... preferably more.
Make payments to all three but put more towards the ones with a higher interest rate..Once you pay off one then take that money and put it towards the one with the largest interest rate too.You lose more money in interest rates than you need to if you pay equal amounts to all three.

  • Under so much pressure? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I am 22 years old. I will have a Master Degree in May. On the other hand, I have very little experience in the program of study. I have been applying for various jobs on my field. I have been rejected by a few employers because of the less experiences and real knowledge about job.

I am sad and discourage after getting reject again and again.

Sorry English is my second language.

Please advice. Thank youUnder so much pressure? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Just keep applying for similar jobs, eventually something that your meant to do will come your way.

Good Luck!Under so much pressure?
Rejection is tough for anyone. Have confidence and believe in what you can offer an employer.

Would you pay for IT or Business advice online?

I'm doing a survey to understand what type of advice people would pay for online?

Essentially my view point is that everything is free online, but equally - there's another view that some advice is only worth something when its paid for?

    Don't smoke.

Clean up after yourself, do your own laundry, no woman EVER wants to be a housemaid

i wish i had this advice when i was your age. What advice would you give to a 24 year old man?

The only advice I could give is, to try and be helpful and considerate to others but not to forget to live while your at it.
