How reliable are the early pregnancy tests, and which are the best to go for? I am due on 26th and am desperate to find out if I am... how soon can I take one? all advice appreciated!!How soon can you take a test??? Advice needed!!?
You can use any brand of early detection test up to 4 days before your period is due BUT even though you can test that early doesn't mean that you will get a positive that early. Even with early detection tests it can still take you missing your period to get a positive.
Seriously, any brand, cheap or not is accurate. I always used Dollar Tree tests. I found out 4 days before my period was due with two seperate tests taken within 3 hours of eachother. How soon can you take a test??? Advice needed!!?
You can take a test 5 days before your missed period, but its only about 56% accurate. You should take one a few days to a week after your missed period, because thats when the pregnancy hormone HCG is most detectable. I know its hard to wait for a few weeks, but its worth it to get a reliable answer! The best pregnancy test to use is ';clearblue digital pregnancy test'; Its easy to read and most accurate! I bought a 2 pack for $13 and change. I hope this helps, and good luck to you! :)
Don't trust the test until you miss your menses. They detect 100 hcg and all women are different in how much they make in early preg and you could be lower. HCG doubles every two days. SOme don't get positives up to 2-3 days past expected menses but most get a positive on the day of or day after menses. They say you can test up to 4 days before but it's not too accurate for a lot of women. You can buy tests that test lower HCG online. It's very hard to wait it out. I know that early preg you make a ton of cervical mucus right into your expected menses and it's like when you ovulate kind of mucus... that was my first sign of preg and most women agree. Good luck!
I know it is hard but I think you should wait until the 26th to even test and see if you do actually miss your period. You know you might not be pregnant so I would not waste my money unless I know for sure that I have missed my period. I have done that before and it sux!
