I'm a constant some A's mostly B's and even some C's high school freshman. I want to make that next leap in my academics. Can you please give me some tips?To people with straight a's or a very high GPA - can you please give me some advice?
What I do is stay organized and focused. Organization is key. Staying organized reduces stress. Freshman year was my hardest in high school. Stay focused in class and know what you have to do. Pay attention in class and study hard. Do all homework and know what your doing. If you don't get help (tutor, teacher, etc.)To people with straight a's or a very high GPA - can you please give me some advice?
The only thing you can do is pay attention, take good notes, do all of the work, and study.
i used to be ';average'; the way i pulled myself up was by simply by doing the following:
1. asked helped when i needed it
2. stayed after school
3.studied for tests
4. tried to work with kids who were smarter than me
5. knew my capabilities ( as in taking a class i know i can do)
now im a senior with a 3.7 GPA and am 21/381 in class rank
read the assigned chapters, study hard for tests, manage your time. Remember you are in highschool only once so enjoy your time.
do all your homework, dont copy people, study 10 minutes for each class you have everynight, get 8 hours of sleep.
Always do extra.
Always ask if there is extra credit. Any projects/papers you have do extra/go above and beyond what is expected.
If you dont understand somthing stay after and ask questions or somehow find the answer.
Participate in class as much as possible. Some teachers give you a participation grade..that would help bump up your grade a bit.
Hope it helps! =DD
Good Luck!
Before a test I like to write on note card and try to memorize answers then when you know something you can take card out of stack and study the rest till you know it all.
practice practice practice for math classes
';good,better,best
never let them rest,
until the good is better,
and the better is the best';
lol... this won't be helpful but i got straight a's and I never studied once... i had 'homework lunch' almost every day. lol
to get a 4.0 you have to like cheat jkjk even though that helps a lot
study for tests and have your parents or the back of the book check your homework.
pay attention in class, do ur homework, study lots, and just keep trying:)
memorize learn to do this.
(dont listion to me i flopped collage) but run my own business now Woot!
be a good note taker. hand write notes in class, then go home and type them up. the repetition will keep it in your mind longer.
all you have to do is study. if are getting c's u obviously are not studying as much as you could. u can get more sleep. also dont procrastinate. if you get your work done ahead of time you will do better
there is nothing better than rereading your subject material and highlighting...even better take notes..you less apt to forget something you wrote down yourself.
