I am five months pregnant with a baby boy and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or words of wisdom?
Thanks :)PARENTS: Do you have any advice to new/future parents?
First - CONGRATULATIONS! I think the best advise any one could give you is: be patient, sleep when your baby is sleeping, and lean on your family for support, especially if this is your first child.

Love your baby with all your heart and put him before everyone else because you are his only mother, and if you don't give him that love, who will? Everything else is just stuff.
It helps to have lots of extended family nearby: cousins, uncles, aunts...
1 take pictures, take multiples, and distribute them, and back them up so you don't lose them ever.
2 sleep when he sleeps.some of my most treasured times with my son were when he was sleeping on my chest in the couch.
3 babies arent as fragile as they look. WHen my son was born i was afraid to dress him because I was worried I would break his arm putting it in sleeves. you won't.
4 if you can afford it put a small sofa or a twin bed in the nursery. You will sleep in there, I promise. (PLus, he will need a twin bed someday anyway)
5 dress him as something cute and fuzzy for Halloween, you can only do it while they are small.
6 ENJOY! Boys are so fun. ( You have an excellent opputunity to play with blocks and erector sets now. Hehe)
sleep while you can and take one day at a time..
I'm a new mother too...And the best advice is to stay calm, when you need help with anything ask questions, lots of questions..Don't be scared. Ask family for advice and help. Sleep when baby sleeps cause if you don't, you'll feel like you haven't slept in years. Internet is also a wonderful tool.
If you become inpatient with the baby, leave the room (as long as baby is safe) and take a breather, it becomes easier over time, and then the teething starts.
